Bio
He married Mary Frances Dew on August 29, 1946. They had three sons John Lee,
Warner Lee III, and David Dew. He became a member of the LSU ROTC in1943
and went to basic training that same year. Back to LSU for a short time before
going to Fort Benning for Officer Training and graduated as a 1st
LT. He was assigned to the 70th Div, and went overseas with them. When the war
was over in
Europe he stayed in Germany in the army of occupation until the summer of 1946.
After that he was active in the Reserves and moved to the Louisiana National
Guard and finished his career as a full Colonel. He attended LSU and received a
Bachelors and Masters degree in Ag. economics. He worked at the Federal Land
Bank and retired as the president in 1986. Died in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
