Bio
Shipped over on the 'Sea Tiger' to LeHarve, FR. Wounded 6 February 1945 at Oelmuehle,
France (near Grosbliederstroff). Airlifted to Bristol, England transported to field
hospital at Cirencester, Eng. Came back to U.S. 3 months later on hospital ship 'Charles
A. Stafford, landing in Charleston SC on 1 May, 1945. Across the country on hospital train
to Vancouver, Barnes General Hospital. Discharged at Camp Carson, Colo on 13 December,
1945.
Graduated Kansas State Teachers College in 1953 on G.I. Bill. Pursued two careers,
teaching and drafting.
Married 57 years to Erylene and raised four children. Retired to home town of Sarcoxie,
MO.
