Bio
Discharge at Fort Dix, N.J. 27 June 1946. Employed by the Federal Security Agency,
Social Security Administration, Baltimore, MD from September 1946 to March 1947 when
accepted appointment as a War Department Civilian Employee with duty station with the U S
Army 7th Base Post Office, Yokohama, Japan. In June 1959, was transferred to the Air Force
with duty station Yokota Air Base, Tokyo, Japan. June 1959 reassigned to the Air Force at
Yokota Air Base, Tokyo, Japan. Positions held include Administrative, Management, and
Industrial Engineering with the Civil Engineering Squadron. March 1984 transferred to Hq
5th Air Force, Yokota, Japan, as Program Manager for Inter-service, Host-tenant and
International Support Agreements. March 1989 transferred to Department of the Navy,
Commander-in-Chief Pacific Fleet, Manpower Analysis Team, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Retired 31
March l998 with 53 years 8 months of Federal Service. Civil activities include: A charter
member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9467, in Yokohama, Japan. In addition to Post
Positions served as VFW National Deputy Chief of Staff in organizing the VFW Department of
Pacific Areas serving as Department Command 1967 1968. A Freemason, served as Grand
Master of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Japan in 1984. Currently active
with The National Sojourners Chapter No.9, Honolulu, Hawaii. Married and have two
children, Daughter and two grandsons in Houston, TX, and son and Army Air Force Exchange
employee currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
