Division Memorials - Wingen-sur-Moder, 60th
January 2005 marked the 60th
anniversary of the liberation of the town by 70th Division troops.
Linda Bergmann (an Honorary Member
of the Association) is a French woman who lives in
Wingen-sur-Moder. She is the town historian regarding the battle
and maintains a museum of the battle at her bed-and-breakfast
business.
Linda was in charge of organizing the
fete celebrating the liberation of Wingen. I have sent her a
message telling her how proud we are of her.
