Dear Daddy,

Well got your and what a swell letter so I answer it. First I say Elkhorn lost the basketball tournament. Fifth grade has got a baseball team. We played. Kyle and (?) then by 14 to 12. We played 6 grade Crozer team and they beat us by 58 to 3. What a shame. Then we played them again and beat us again by 70 to 3.

They beat us again. We have beat 1 game lost 4 or 5. Mary and me went to the storelot and this is what happened

Explanation of the game!

Well this coming Sunday Easter and I will have a picture made in my new Easter suit and send it to you. Do this to a German for me

No explanation needed. Scanned from letter.

Margaret is doing her science. Paul is playing trumpet. Teddy is just sitting waiting to write a postcard to you. Ronald is writing a letter to Dad. Grandma is washing dishes. Grandpa is gone to work. I got a Dick Tracy hat for Easter a Easter basket. I went to Bluefield on a Thursday and got my Easter suit and saw Aunt Pearl at the bus terminal. Can't think of anything else to say but take good care of yourself. Don't forget to get that German for me.

Love,
Ronald
