Organization
For a closer look at the make up of each unit of the 70th,

100th Division
Site. The Divisions were made up identically, with
one exception: the 70th added an interesting "provisional" unit to
their regimental headquarters, namely, a "G&G Platoon," the members
of which served as guards for PWs and guides for convoys. This
platoon took the place of MPs, who always seemed in short supply
(what with only a platoon for the entire division!). Special thanks
