1. SUPPLY
a. Rations.
(1) Breakfast, 6 January 1945, will be released as follows:
(a)
2d Bn
Time: 0530
Place: RJ N of LA PETITE PIERRE (69.3 - 30.1) Food
containers will revert to Regt at point above at 0900
(b) 3d Bn, AT Co, Cn Co
Time: 0530
Place: RJ NE of INGWILLER (81.7 - 30.6) Supply of AT
and Cn Co - 3d Bn S-4 is responsible for food containers - Food
containers will revert to Regt at point above at 0930.
(c) Immersion heaters and GI cans will
be on ki trks and will return to Regt with food containers.
b. Ammunition.
(1) Regtl ASP located at NEUWILLER (75.8
- 25.1)
(2) The following types of ammunition are critical items in
this area:
Grenades, hand frag.
60mm mortar (both types)
MG cal. .30, belted
81mm mortar, HE
(3) Bn S-4's will ascertain that all grenades, hand, frag.
are in the Bn dumps or in the hands of troops.
c. Class III Supplies.
(1) DP located at NEUWILLER (75.8 - 25.1). Empty cans will be
exchanged for filled ones.
d. Class II Supplies.
(1) All requisitions will be accompanied by the following:
(a) Statement of charges.
(b) Report of Survey or
(c) Certificate signed by Co Comdr of loss in combat.
2. EVACUATION.
a. Dead will be collected at Bn Aid Station and
will be reported by number and coordinates of location to Regtl
S-4.
b. Bodies will have dog tags on them. Where there are no dog tags,
further identification must be given in the way of a certificate
signed by unit comdr. The body must be identified by means of
scars, tatoos, missing teeth, etc., and a certificate signed to
this effect.
3. TRAFFIC
a. Ki and bag trks and ammunition trks will not
go further forward than Regtl release points.
b. Tn Biv is located at NEU79LIM (75.8 - 25.1)
4. PERSONNEL
a. All duffel bags, foot lockers, suit cases and
surplus impedimenta will be collected by Bn S-4' s and will be
reported by coordinate location and number of truck loads to Regtl
S-4 by 0800, 7 January 1945 for storage in SARREBOURG.
b. Service vehicles will cooperate to the
fullest extent possible with regularly assigned mail personnel.
