3. Mission

A. Easy and Fox Co's atk at 0001 6 Feb, seize and occupy
Hill "Zebra."

B. Easy Co: Limit of advance - woods SE of OETING.
Sieze and occupy trench system west of GAUBIVINGEN-
FORBACH rd to limit of advance. Be prepared to assist
atk an Hill "Yoke" from high ground SE of OETING.

C. Fox Co: Limit of advance - AT ditch on reverse slope
of Hill "Zebra" Seize and hold that portion of Hill
"Zebra" E of rd and S of AT ditch. Outpost trench N
of and parallel to AT ditch.

D. How Co: 1) One (1) platoon hvy MGs atchd to Fox Co
for support of Fox Co and to protect Bn right flank
upon occupation of Hill "Zebra".

2) One (1) platoon hvy MGs to support atk of Easy Co
and to occupy position areas along high ground SE
of OETING upon capture of Easy Co objective. Be pre-
pared to support atk of George Co and King Co by fire
on trenches on Hill "Yoke" paying particular attention
to trenches on reverse slope.

3) Mortar platoons be prepared to fire on trenches on
Hill "Zebra" and upon seizure of Hill "Zebra" be
prepared to fire concentrations on routes of possible
counterattacks from the N and NE on Hill "Zebra." Be
prepared to fire in support of atk of King and George
an Hill "Yoke."

E. A&P Platoons: 16 men atchd to Engrs. Man 2 Cal .50
MGs from positions in present George Co area to sup-
port atk of George and King.

F. AT Platoon: Remain in present positions. Furnish
three (3) bazooka teams to Easy Co.

G. Arty: 1) Be prepared to fire on trenches on Hill
"Zebra" and plan defensive fires for approaches from
NE of Hill "Zebra." Interdict approaches from NW.

2) Be prepared to fire preparations on Hill "Yoke".

3) Smoke W nose of Hill N or "Zebra" on call.

4) Plan defensive fires for approaches N and NW of
Hill "Yoke."

5) On call, fires from observers.

H. Engrs: One (1) bangalore sqd atchd each rifle Co.

I. 4.2 mortar platoon: Be prepared to fire on Hill
"Yoke", reverse slope, and draw SW of Hill "Yoke"
and woods N of Kill "Zebra."

X. 1) Each man will wear white strip of cloth tied around
right arm for identification during hours of darkness.

2) Contact will be from right to left.

3) Initial fires artillery and hvy wpns Co by order
from Bn.

Phase II

A. Companies King and George be prepared to atk and
seize Hill "Yoke" at 0630 6 Feb or sooner on Bn order.

fire atk of Easy Co by blocking North exits from
OETING.

D. George Co: From positions on Hill "Yoke," support
by fire atk of Easy Co by blocking West exits from
OETING.

E. King Co: Hold positions on Hill "Yoke" and protect
the left flank of the Bn.

F. How Co: 1) One (1) platoon hvy MGs from positions SE
of OETING support atk of Easy.

2) One (1) platoon hvy MGs atchd Fox Co.

3) Mortar platoon: be prepared to fire on OETING and
to block exits to and from OETING.

B. Bn fwd CP at FOLKLINGEN at present George Co location.
Fwd switching central also at FOLKINGEN. Following
lines fwd from this board: Easy and Fox Co's (partied),
George and King Co's (partied), two OP's (partied plus
lateral between). To rear: Two lines to Regt. Bn wire
teams will report to each Co prior to atk for purpose
of extending Co lines.

SCR 300 radio will operate on channel 22. Radios will
be turned on at H hour, but remain on listening watch
until either Co of the first phase (Easy or Fox) meets
enemy resistance at which time they may open the net.
The same applies to Co SCR 536 sets. If Co wire remains
in, SCR 300's will be used at a minimum.
